AirRivals is a MMORPG that is completely free. That's right, free. However, you can spend extra money to get better in-game items (e.g. Runescape).

Putting that to the side, I came across this treasure of a game just last weekend (May 15-17). Actually, it was recommended to me by a fellow I know online as "Paris Desot." He told me great stories about it and eventually persuading me to download it.

Before downloading AirRivals, I had to make an account on their website: www.airrivals.net Then I downloaded it. I was amazed at the short time of the download, but there was a catch. This is the downloader to download the installer. So after waiting for about two-three hours, it was finished, and I installed it, which took a lot less time.

After that, it had to patch itself, which took hardly any time at all, and logged into the Helix server. I was taken to the main menu proceeded by an amazing piece of artwork and found myself staring at three empty spots with a NEW button flashing at me. When I clicked it, I was presented with four choices: the A-Gear, the I-Gear, the B-Gear, or the M-Gear.

The A-Gear is a flying tank, with all the benefits and issues that that implies. You turn like a truck. You're extraordinarily slow, and in the air an A-Gear that doesn't know what it's doing can be taken out by a good I-Gear just because the I-Gear can run circles around it. That said, the A-Gear is nothing to laugh at. There are three things in this game to be seriously afraid of - Legendary Bigsmashes, Legendary Doublecoats, and level 86 B-Gears. The first two fall under the A-Gear's scope as it's primary weapon and armament. A Legendary Bigsmash, properly made, will turn any other gear in to swiss cheese in a matter of seconds, and can hit from 2km out from the A-Gear. Even B-Gears, the gears meant to destroy the A-Gear, find frustration with a legend smash on an A-Gear. A Legendary Doublecoat will give the A-Gear an insane amount of HP, to the point where it's literally the embodiment of "tanking" damage; B-Gears will have to make multiple bombing passes on it to destroy it, and it will sit there and simply not die while multiple people are shooting at it. A-Gears get several skills as well, making it a decent support and air to air gear. It has several siege modes, which turn it in to an immobile turret, allowing it to either do a ton of damage to opposing gears or sit there laughing as they attempt to destroy it. Barrier is a hated skill, due to it making the A-Gear completely invulnerable from missiles for 15 seconds. Snare can be deadly to I-Gears, and gives the A-Gear a chase role, as it can slow I-Gears down enough to allow it to outrun them. Shield Para is designed for use against M-Gears, but it can be devastating to other gears as well. This stops the targeted gear from recovering any shield for 30 seconds, whether it be through heals, kits, or the normal regen that you get on shields. As gears slow down due to hits in energy, this is doubly problematic; not only do they lose speed when hit at an alarming rate due to the A-Gear's rapid fire cannons, but as they normally put the majority of their HP in to shields, they lose access to a massive portion of their health. Strategically A-Gears travel in groups; aside form small fights, they tend to be relatively weak alone unless they are a very high level and have a good pilot. That said when multiple A-Gears are on the ground protecting a target or camping a warp gate, they will destroy pretty much anything that's foolish enough to get in to their airspace.

B-Gears are bombers; however they have many aspects of fighters to them. They can maneuver as well as the I-Gear and go at a similar speed at higher levels. Two movement skills – Turn Around and Back Move Mecha, which allow for quick maneuvering in a dog fight, are included on the B-Gear. B-Gears are the kings of both DPS (Damage Per Second) and DPH (Damage Per Hit) with their two primary weapons, Hawkies and Bawoos. B-Gear weapons are primarily dumbfire, but have a large explosion radius, thus allowing them to easily hit many targets. Their builds give them decent amounts of defense and evasion, and they don't need that much attack to do their damage. Their buffs also give them an added survival advantage; and as they do a lot of damage while tanking more than any other gear in the game (particularly after reaching level 86) they are pivotal in wars. Their two main defensive skills – Chaffs and Reduce Damage – can effectively triple their HP. At higher levels they get a skill called “Big Boom” which can be devastating to camps, particularly when combined with their stealth “invisible” skill, which allows them to fly up to a camp undetected if they choose to. If you see an enemy B-Gear while defending something, whether it be a map you're controlling or a target in an event, notify everyone and set out to kill it immediately. B-Gears are the biggest direct threat you will ever face in a defense, and a very close second to A-Gears in an offense.
I-Gears are interceptors; they're affectionately called by their pilots “Paper planes shooting nukes at cardboard planes that shoot rocks.” I-Gears are highly manuverable, and, aside from snare, are the fastest gears in the game. This comes at a cost, which is that I-Gears have the lowest health in the game. If you like to live fast and annoy the heck out of people before dying, this gear is for you. Do not expect to survive much on it. At higher levels, you can go evasion build, which will let you survive somewhat; you also get a skill called “Bezerker” which allows you to shoot a ton of missiles really fast for 15 seconds (allowing you to actually outDPS any other gear in the game for a short time, but with a big red animation that practically screams “kill me” and an empty missile supply if you do actually get a full Bezerker off). I-Gears typically provide a chase role in defenses, where they go after people who break through a camp, as well as kill enemy M-Gears when they are detected.; in offenses they take down anything in the air that they can.

This brings us to the M-Gear. M-Gears are slow – just as slow as the A-Gear – with equivalent manuverability. They do no damage to speak of, and while they have the second highest HP in the game, at lower levels this accounts for nothing. They grind slowly, have little money, and people typically see them as buffslaves, due to the fact that they can give attack and defense boosts to other gears. The M-Gear leads a lowly life in Air Rivals, doomed to pretty much suck. And then the M-Gear hits level 80 and becomes God; with a maxed out defense stat and full buffs, they will sit there laughing as full attack gears try to kill them in a 1v1, and rip them apart. They get Purify, a skill which allows them to completely debuff an enemy gear; Invincible, which gives them 8 seconds of which where no damage can be done, and Full Recovery, which recovers all their HP and skill points. Their heals significantly prolong the life of other gears. They get powerful buffs which turn gears in their forms in to formidable killing machines, and a skill called “Call of Hero” which warps a selected gear in their form to their location. A level 80+ M-Gear, therefore, is in a defense, the most dangerous gear to have in your maps. Even if tons of B-Gears are running around killing whatever you are defending, you MUST destroy this M-Gear, because it can port any B-Gear that dies right back to that map, and provide them with heals to make them harder to kill. While B-Gears have provided the firepower that decides a war, it is often a single M-Gear getting through that will completely change the course of a war. Despite the fact that they don't hurt one bit, you should consider M-Gears to be the highest threat in the game.

Now, on to canonical history of the game, just to give an idea of what's going on in it:
Years ago a race of humans called Decans settled on the Phillon planet from a massive ship called the G-Ark. They initially settled in Bark City, and began fighting the natives for control of the planet. However, humans were not the only alien race interested in controlling the Phillon world; another race, called Shrines, appeared, and waged war against humanity. Humans, however, were able to hold their own for awhile, and began development of the ATUM energy project, which would solve their energy needs forever, thus giving them a vital advantage in the three sided war.
And then Bark City was destroyed. Accusations of course went rampent; the Shrine were blamed for it of course, as were Phillon forces. Conspiracy theorists also thought that it could have been the corrupt arms dealers, who wanted to see a civil war to fund their businesses. And one did happen; shortly after the foundation of Bygeniou City and the installation of a military dictatorship, the Redline Rebel Forces (RRF) appeared. However, this civil war did not last in ernest for long, although it still continues with the remnants of the RRF operating in nearby Starlight Valley. With the RRF destroyed and it's base at Redline Beach taken over, the Bygeniou government used the peace between humans to concentrate on the war of unification on the Phillon world; a Unification at which Decans were placed at the top.
Despite the fall of the RRF, however, there was still dissent at both the military rule and the ideology behind the war. Shortly after the foundation of Arlington city, this city rebelled, setting itself up as the Anti-Nationalism Influence. Quickly, the rebels overwhelmed the Bygeniou government, taking over Redline and Starlight Valley. Threatened, and with a desire in the Bygeniou military to not fight those who were once their comrades, the Bygeniou government began operation “Aerial Strike” to fight back the rebels; the primary aspect of this was taking civilian pilots and forming the Free S.K.A mercenary army to fight Arlington and bring it back under control, as well as help defend Bygeniou territory from increased Phillon and Shrine attacks. While the Bygeniou government managed to kick Arlington's forces from it's territory, both sides remained at a deadlock, and eventually Arlington's independence was recognized.
Both sides were extremely distrusting of each other, still building up their forces as the years wore on. Eventuallly both moved in to a new continent, named Pandea, and continued operations against the Shrine and Phillons there. Unknown to them, however, another group of humans, called the Vatallus, had arrived there at roughly the same time as the formation of Bark city, and, in order to weaken both Bygeniou and Arlington in order to later attack their territory directly, staged an Arlington attack on Bygeniou territory. Enraged, the Bygeniou government declared war again on Arlington city, bringing many of the old wounds from the first war back to the surface. Even though the deception was eventually discovered, both sides continued fighting each other as they also fought to keep the Vatallus out of their respective territories.
And this is where the player comes in, in the middle of the Pandean war.

And now, a few more pictures:

This is what it looks like when you take off on your own, without taking a mission. Taking a mission automatically launches you.

Another picture:

This is me in my I-Gear firing my glitter missiles of doom at a flying lobster. Yes, a flying lobster. Let's get a closer look:

See what I mean? Now I've seen everything!

When you reach level 20, you have the option to form a brigade, AKA a guild. When I reach that level, I am going to make one known as "The Red Dawn." Keep on the lookout for "TheRedFox8I" and look for "The Red Dawn." That's me!

All in all, this is an awesome game, and I highly recommend this game to everyone else that can run it on their computer. I know not the graphics requirements but try to get it.

I give this game a 9/10 for several reasons. One of them is the long download time, though the longer it is, the more awesome the game :)

Also, you can't customize your ship very well. Sure you can change some of the color and armor (you can't take off without armor), but I would like to see more cosmetic choices. Also you can't customize characters too well. You have to choose between several "factory" characters, but you don't get to see what they look like with the exception of a portrait. You can't see your 3D model. The choice of character has no effect on the game.

Other than that. I love the game, and don't let those drawbacks prevent you from getting it. This is TheRedFox8, and I thank you for reading this review.

~TheRedFox8

The Senate

It is instigated but this time with only one house!
THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD!
(which is a really hard game to beat by the way)
but in all seriousness....
this senate shall have one house and the house shall be one...
we will decide which video games are awesome and which suck.

Left 4 Dead

Left 4 Dead is a first person shooter for the PC that is awesomely fun. TheRedFox8 played it for the first time when Valve decided to let people play it for free one Friday night. It is an awesome game and I recommend it to anybody who likes to kill wave upon wave of zombies.

Watch out for these zombies, though:

Smoker: When you hear sounds in the distance that sounds a lot like Stitch from Lilo and Stitch, be careful. A smoker is nearby, most likely hiding on a rooftop or something high. He can grab you from an insane distance with their tongue. You can fight back for a bit, but soon you will be rendered helpless and a teammate must help you.

Hunter: Hunters sound like shrieks in the distance. They are insanely fast, and they wear hoodies. They can pounce you and render you helpless, like a smoker's attack, but you can't fight back for a little bit. A teammate must help you escape it.

Boomer: Boomers are fat chunky things. They can barf on you, obscuring your vision, and attracts zombies. Lots of zombies. Which are fun to kill. If you shoot one, they explode, covering you in barf if you are too close to it.

Tank: Tanks are extremely tough and it is highly recommend that you work together to take one down. Explosives are not recommended against it, since he will simply move out of the way and into your face before you can say "Huh?" Their punches are very powerful, but not even comparable to the...

Witch: A Witch is nearby if you can hear the sounds of a little girl crying in the distance. Your AI teammates may warn you to turn off your flashlights. I highly advise you do so. A Witch appears to be a white figure sitting on the ground, most likely faced away from you. If you fire a gun at it or near it, or shine your flashlight too close to it, or get too close to it, it will attack, dishing out claws that can "kill" or knock you down literally instantly. Personally, TheRedFox8 loves killing these things, but a beginner would find it best to avoid them. Fortunately, they are extremely rare, only zero to one (rarely, two) per level. On one of the levels, there is a Witch right next to a minigun. You can hop on the minigun and shoot the Witch in the head, killing it instantly and earning the "Crwned" achievement. As soon as possible, thrrow a molotav at it to earn the achievement "Burn the Witch."

Which Retailer Is The Best To Buy Games And Games Consoles From???

There is no abstract available for this page revision.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3

A major game for the Sega Genesis, but many feel that it did nor surpass the greatness of Sonic 2. Players take turns with the enemy in which all of the player's characters move, then the enemies move, and so on. The cast compromises of anime-like characters that have a personality, and players could learn to like a particular character based on that character's personality, even though they only exist on that one game (but there are exceptions). However, the player can have its own character, the tactician. The tactician (default name Mark) has its own sprite. He/She is a green unit, meaning that he is "neutral". Mark cannot be controlled and only comes out during certain spots in the story not during combat. Some characters, mostly the lords, break the fourth wall and actually faces the screen when he/she is talking to Mark.

Everything is pretty much randomized by the RNG (random number generator). The RNG determines whether an attack hits or misses, and it determines the stat increases on level up.

Attached on this page is the entire game's soundtrack.

Listed below are the game's characters, their class/promotion class, their R-button descriptions in quotations, and TheRedFox8's summary of them in order they come in on the "Support Conversations" menu choice. All chapters I list are in Eliwood's story. Eliwood's and Hector's chapters are not the same. I am referring to Eliwood's chapters.

Eliwood (Lord/Knight Lord)- "Marquess Pherae's young son. Just and honorable."
Eliwood's stats can turn out good or very bad throughout the game. He is either good or not. I tend not to use him that much because in most of my games his stats turn out badly. In the picture above, Eliwood is the one in the front center.

Hector (Lord/Great Lord)- "Marquess Ostia's younger brother. Reckless, but loyal."
Hector is one of the better lords. He has a ridiculous defense and strength, and when promoted, he can become one of the better tanks of the game. With his Wolf Beil, he is a knight's/general's worst nightmare. In the picture above, Hector is on the left.

Raven (Mercenary/Hero)- "A troubled mercenary with a grudge against House Ostia."
Raven has a secret relationship with Priscilla. You learn this in the recruit conversation between the two. Priscilla is the only unit that can recruit Raven. His other name is Raymond. I rarely use Raven, but I hear that his stats are one of the most broken in the game.

Geitz (Warrior prepromote)- "The eldest son of a wealthy merchant. Finding himself."
Geitz enters the game already made a warrior, the fighter's promotion. I rarely see Geitz when I play through the game, so I don't know much about him.

Guy (Myrmidon/Swordmaster)- "A youth from Sacae. Yearns to be a sword master."
Guy has a good speed and skill, if trained properly, and with the right weapon, he can be extremely deadly. He is quite difficult to obtain, however, as Matthew and only Matthew can recurit him. You can learn this if you read the story. Guy was wandering alone and starving. Soon he came upon Matthew, who was cooking meat. Guy, ravenous, agrees Matthew a favor in exchange for the meat. A good way to recruit him is to send Marcus or Oswin, unequiped, up front to act as a meat shield. Have Matthew close by, but out of harm's way. Once Guy attacks, have Matthew rush in and talk to him.

Karel (Swordmaster prepromote)- "An eastrn swordmaster. Seeking worthy opponents."
Karel is one of the more badass units in the game. According to the story, he finds out the most skilled person with a blade, seeks them out, challanges them to a fight, kills them, and repeats. He is also seeking to kill his own sister, Karla. He is known as the Sword Demon. In the chapter "Pale Flower of Darkness", you can either find him, or you can find Harken, a Hero. It depends on how many Promoted enemy units you kill and how many doors you open, according to the source I found. Have a lord, preferrably the main character, talk to him to recurit him. Karel shows up as a green unit.

Dorcas (Fighter/Warrior)- "A man from a small village in Bern. Fights for his wife."
I use Dorcas for a good part of the beginning of the "other half" (meaning, Chapter 11-Final) of the story. Eventually I dump him for better units. You first meet Dorcas while protecting his literally lame wife in a ruined fortress. Dorcas shows up as one of the enemy mercanaries. Remember, he is a red unit, meaning he will attack you mercissly. Make sure you don't make the mistake of killing him. The only way to recurit him is to have Lyn talk to him. Dorcas shows up later in Chapter 11 with Bartre, both are blue.

Bartre (Fighter/Warrior)- "One of Eliwood's guardsmen. Duty is everything to him."
Bartre shows up in Chapter 11 alongside with Dorcas. Bartre is a pretty solid fighter and I used him through the end. He is the only one to recurit Karla in the chapter "Battle Preparations". He needs to be at least a level 5 Warrior, and he must survive an attack from her. After that you can recruit Karla.

Oswin (Knight/General)- "A knight in service to House Ostia. Hector's sworn man."
Oswin is sent by Lord Uther to protect Hector when he slips out of Castle Ostia to find Eliwood. He rivals Hector as the most powerful tank in the game. Use him and use him well.

Rebecca (Archer/Sniper)- "A youth from Pherae. Very helpful and bright."
Rececca is the daughter of the village's magistrate on Chapter 11. She starts out on your side. On Hector's mode, she is in Chapter 12. At first she is a pretty weak archer, but she has potential. Just don't give up on her unless you truly wish to ditch her.

Louise (Sniper prepromote)- "The wife of Marquess Reglay. A lethal beauty."
Louise joins you along with Pent in the chapter when the lords sneak into castle Bern. She comes with a valuable white gem worth quite a bit of gold. I tend to use her a lot. She is a pretty deadly sniper. Watch out though. If either Louise or Pent dies, it is a package deal, the other goes away too. You have been warned.

Lucius (Monk/Bishop) -"A traveling acolyte. Gentle and serene."
Despite Lucius's appearance, Lucius is a guy. No questions asked. It is confirmed several times when he is reffered by a pronoun in dialogue. Anyway, he is a good light magic user. He comes in the chapter when you get Nils in the tutorial, on your side, and later when you storm castle Caelin, as a green unit in a jail cell. In this chapter, he is only recruited by Raven.

Serra (Cleric/Bishop)- "A cleric in service to House Ostia. Headstrong and bold."
Serra is a little beast. Many loathe her, but she is very valuable as a healer in the game. You can love to learn to hate her for her personality. As a healer, it is very long an difficult to get her level high enough for promotion, so I rarely see her promote. She shows up in the tutorial, green along with Erk, who is also green. In chapter 12, she shows up again, on your side, with Hector's team. In Eliwood's mode, however, she appears in hiding. You don't get her until Chapter 13.

Renault (Bishop prepromote)- "A cleric wandering Valor. Shrouded in mystery."
You meet Renault for the first time in chapter 16x in some ruins. Instead of joining you, however, he gives you a Goddess Icon and then leaves. You don't recruit him until the last chapter before the Final, in another ruins. You have to be quick, however the enemies reach the ruins fast, and he leaves, claiming that there is "too much noise."

Erk (Mage/Sage)- "A young mage from Etruria. Charming, but uptight."
Erk is one of my most favorite characters. In the tutorial, he appears, green, serving as Serra's escort. According to the dialogue, he regrets his decision shortly after starting on his journey. He starts the chapter injured, so have Serra heal him after talking to him. When trained. He can become a deadly Sage.

Nino (Mage/Sage)- "One of the Black Fang. True and innocent."
Nino is an interesting character. Her "mother," Sonia, treats her like a piece of trash, yet Nino still clings onto the fact that Sonia loves her. Only on the chapter, "Battle Before Dawn," does she learn the truth from Jaffar. Strangely, she and Jaffar have a crush on each other, and with the right support, they marry each other at the end of the game. Since she comes late in the game, with a horrible CON to boot, many just ditch her. I confess that I am a victim to that practice as will. However, from a source, I have learned that with enough patience, she can be the most deadly Sage in the game.

Pent (Sage prepromote)- "Marquess of Reglay. Sole student of Archsage Athos."
Pent is arguably one of the most reliable sages in the game. He appears in the desert chapter as green, yet he is not recruitable. Only until the chapter when the Lords sneak into Castle Bern does he join your side with his wife, Louise. Be warned, that they love each other so much, that when one falls in battle, the other decides to leave as well.

More characters to come.

The Impossible Quiz

http://www.notdoppler.com/theimpossiblequiz.php

The Idiot Test

http://www.notdoppler.com/theidiottest.php

The idiot test is alot of fun, however I can not really give you the answers because, well.... there arn't any really!
